    Description

Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) is an analytical technique that enables non-invasive, non-destructive and quantitative analysis of molecules, dynamic processes and chemical reactions.

The LSB has a 400 MHz (9.4 T) and a 600 MHz (14.1 T) NMR spectrometer. The latter has a higher resolution and significantly better sensitivity.

Both spectrometers can be used to measure homonuclear as well as heteronuclear 1D and 2D experiments. The following is a selection of common NMR experiments that can be carried out on both spectrometers: 1H, 13C, 15N, COSY, HSQC, HMBC, DEPT, NOESY, TOCSY, ROESY, INADEQUAT, ADEQUAT.
