Description
The seminar is aimed at doctoral students who will publish their results in peer-reviewed publications. The following topics will be discussed:The art of scientific writing: how to appeal to the reader (and the editor and reviewers), the importance of the title and abstract, ethical and legal aspects of scientific publication, good scientific practice, types of journals and publication models, journal and author metrics, authorship, the peer-review publication process (how journals work), opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence
This course takes place in cooperation with the TUM, Graduate Center of Life Sciences.
