Description
After successful completion of the module, students will comprehend the effects of food, bioactive food components and different forms of nutrition on the human health and the development, prevention or treatment of nutrition-related diseases. At the end of the module students are able to evaluate clinical studies and put them into a scientific context. Additionally, students are able to independently acquire information needed to apply for health claims. They can present the results of their investigation in a concise way to their peers and defend their point of view in a rigorous scientific debate.This course takes place in cooperation with the TUM, Chair of Nutrition and Immunology.
